The industry has recently seen a significant increase in fraudulent individuals selling shares using the names, registration numbers and contact details of authorised firms and individuals to create authenticity and convince consumers of their legitimacy.

The FSA has produced a list of websites of which they are aware that are fraudulently using authorised company details for this purpose:

The above websites and their content are not legitimate and have been created fraudulently using authorised cloned company details to convince unsuspecting consumers that they are genuine.

If you receive an unsolicited phone call from somebody trying to promote shares and claiming to be connected to this fund, please be very wary, even if they claim to be authorised by the FSA.
